PRESENT: Mayor Delgado, CM Harris, CW Wells, CM Fields, CM Michaels

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Delgado called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. The assembly joined in the Pledge of Allegiance and was welcomed to the meeting.
REGISTERED GUESTS: Bob Case, LTC Counts, Lisa Weigel, Hayden Martinez, Chuck Frederick, Doug Frederick, Kellie Augustyn, Randy Hood, Gordon Mills
AGENDA: CM Michaels moved to approve the agenda. CW Wells seconded. The motion carried.
MINUTES: CM Harris moved to approve April 01, 2025 minutes as presented. CM Fields seconded. The motion carried.
CONSIDERATION OF CLAIMS: Mayor Delgado presented the vouchers for approval. CW Wells moved to approve the Considerations of Claims in the amount of $144,730.08 seconded by CM Harris. The motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT: Randy Hood said there were 37 volunteers that showed up to the Platte River Clean Up, we are requesting the Town’s help to pick up piles and take them to the town’s brush pile.
PCSD #2: Lisa Weigel, Superintendent, wanted to say thank you for the crosswalks and for partnering with the school’s new golf program. Hayden Martinez was recognized as the new golf coach. Skills USA’s project this year will be a new golf scoreboard, and we hope to continue to give back.
GOLF COURSE RATES: CW Wells went over new rates for the 2025 golf season. CW Wells moved to approve raising the Rates for the 2025 season. CM Michaels seconded. The motion carried. CM Harris and CM Fields opposed.
LODGING TAX BOARD: CW Wells moved to appoint Joanie Ibarra as the lodging tax board representative for Guernsey. Seconded by CM Michaels. The motion carried. CM Harris and CM Fields opposed.
COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION REPORTS: LTC Counts says that so far the Fire Mitigation Plans that were implemented seem to be working. Training will be taking place this week and we will continue with business as usual. Mayor Delgado asked if Col Ezell is still in his current position? LTC Counts said yes, and he will be reaching out regarding Visionary and Invictus.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS: J. Burfeind gave a brief overview of a potential lease at the airport. H. Dawson announced Melissa Howe will be the Pro Shop Manager for the 2025 season. Budget sessions will take place over the next couple of weeks for Admin and Enterprise. H. Dawson gave a thank you to everyone that showed up to stuff Easter Eggs.
MAYOR AND COUNCIL REPORT: CW Wells gave condolences to the family and friends of Ron Gilson, he will be missed. CW Wells also thanked Randy Hood for the river clean up. CM Michaels gave condolences as well, along with comments on what a joy to see the river filling and the sun glistening off the ice. CM Fields thanked Randy Hood for the river clean up, it’s a great time and great community involvement. Mayor Delgado gave condolences to the Gilson family and thanked Jodi and BJ Axford for bringing a store to the town.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: April 19, 2025 Easter Egg Hunt, May 6, 2025, Next Council Meeting.
ADJOURNMENT: CM Michaels moved to adjourn. Seconded by CW Wells. The motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 6:26 p.m.
