GUERNSEY - The Guernsey Vikings girls’ basketball team took on both Crawford and Aurora-Clearmont last week. The Crawford contest was a rescheduled game due to severe weather cancellations the week prior.

Head coach Curtis Cook had this to say about his team, “It was a tough week for us with four games in six days, but I thought we handled it well. We obviously didn’t get the results we wanted but I felt like we had some positives and improved in some key areas.  We’ll keep working and pushing to get better and hopefully start seeing better outcomes.”

The Vikings girls hosted Crawford but fell to the Rams 56-34. Scoring for the Vikings were Rylie Thompson with 13, Jacelyn Schiele with 10, Liberty Whitebird adding eight, Jordan Atwood contributing four, and Layla Noggle adding one.

The girls also succumbed to Aurora-Clearmont, losing a tough game 31-16. Leading in scoring for Guernsey was Layla Noggle with 10. Liberty Whitebird added four points, LaShea Dimas added two, and Jordan Atwood scored two.
