GLENDO – With the need for continued training and experience for local emergency responders, Glendo Volunteer Fire and Rescue hosted a multi-agency ice-rescue training Jan. 25 – 26 put on by Wyoming State Parks.
The two-day class included a day of classroom training and discussion, then a day on the ice at Glendo State Park. Agencies attending the training included Glendo State Park, Guernsey State Park, Platte County Sheriff’s Office, Wyoming Game and Fish, Camp Guernsey Fire Department, and Glendo Fire/Rescue. There were 12 students and three instructors, including lead instructor Ranger Mike Carlson of Glendo State Park.
