GUERNSEY – The Vikings played Hulett this past Saturday and fell short by a score of 39-23, putting them 4-9 for the season.
“The kids played hard the whole game,” coach Steve Zimmerman commented on the game. “Going into the fourth quarter we trailed by five within striking distance. Hulett increased the pressure defensively with their press, [but] we were unable to sustain our level of play. Throughout the game we had foul trouble, but in hindsight wasn’t bad for us as our intensity and physical play improved greatly from last week.”
Mason Collar is sitting fourth in the state for the 1A east conference for rebounds per game at 8.9 rpg.
