HANNA – The Guernsey-Sunrise Vikings faced off against Hanna-Elk Mountain last Monday in the play-in game to determine who would get a spot on the regionals bracket. Unfortunately, the Viking season came to an end as they came up short 48-37.
oach Steve Zimmerman recapped the game and season, “Our old nemesis ‘poor shooting’ reared its ugly head again. We only shot 24% from the floor. To the players’ credit they hustled as hard as they have all year. Our defense was solid, our offensive execution was good, we just could not make shots. These young men grew a lot this year and could be a good team next year if they continue to work on their skill sets.”
Leaders in statistics were Mason Collar, who posted 16 points; VanNatter with six points, Bandalos with four points, Rodriguez with three points, Radcliffe with three points, Gretch with three points, and Bristow with one point.
