GUERNSEY--Guernsey Services for Seniors is not your parents' Senior Center.
A great place to come for friendship as well as fellowship, the Guernsey Senior Center offers many free activities every month. Wellness Checks, Plays, Bingo, Pinochle, Line Dancing, Karaoke, Cribbage, Crafts, and Holiday Parties are just part of the fare. The Center offers trips out of town, including a monthly Cheyenne shopping trip, and pleasure trips such as the upcoming Natural Bridge. The bus is also public transportation for a small fee, within the town of Guernsey.
Under new management, there are so many more choices. Shiela Oliver, the Transportation and Activities Director for the Center, says, "This is YOUR COMMUNITY and YOUR CENTER!? Our community would surely be lost without our great facility and we would no longer be able to provide our services. Participation and feedback would be greatly appreciated to insure longevity. Our meal options are currently evolving, our salad bar offers many delicious options, and we deliver delicious healthy meals."
