GUERNSEY—If the schools of Guernsey, Sunrise or the consolidated district of Guernsey-Sunrise are part of your education or employment as a teacher, keep the weekend of June 27-29 open and get your registration in for the Guernsey-Sunrise Old Grads Reunion. (You need not have graduated from those schools but attended at some time and are past the age of graduation.)
Because food will need to be ordered ahead, registrations need to be in as early as possible, preferably no later than June 14. (If you are not registered by June 14, you are still welcome to come but there may not be enough food ordered so please let someone know you are coming as soon as possible so arrangements may be made.)
Registration fees are $35 per person or $60 for two for any registrations made after May 23, 2025. (The deadline has passed for the reduced fee.)
Registrations will cover a portion of the items on the event schedule—please see each item as to inclusion or additional cost in the event schedule shown below.
Friday, June 27, 6 p.m.: The reunion kicks off with an icebreaker upstairs in the Guernsey VFW Hall. Hors d’oeuvres / DJ / Dancing, Photo Booth and hall rental fee are covered by registration fees. A cash bar will also be available.
Saturday, June 28, 11 a.m.: Lunch will be served in the Guernsey-Sunrise School lunchroom and Commons Area (covered by registration fee). School tours will also be held during this time.
Saturday, June 28, 7 p.m.: We will gather at Ben’s Bar for DJ / Dancing (covered by fees). A cash bar will also be available.

Sunday, June 29, 2 p.m.: A history program will be presented at the Lake Guernsey Museum. (You will be responsible for the park entrance fee at the gate but that will allow you to remain in the park for the day use hours for any other activities you wish to do.)
There will also be several additional events you may choose to do on Saturday and Sunday as well.
Saturday, June 28, 1 p.m.: The SHAPPS Grand Tour of Sunrise will include walking tours to the old town site of Sunrise, the CF&I Mine Industrial site and the Glory Hole. There will also be presentations about the archaeology and history of the area throughout the day. Cost is $20 per person (not included in G-S Reunion registration). Sunday, June 29, 7-11 a.m.: The Guernsey VFW will hold their monthly breakfast in the basement of the post. Cost is $12 per adult/ $9 for Seniors, Military Uniformed or children six and over; and children under six eat free, (not included in G-S Reunion registration).
Classes are also more than welcome to organize an event or activity on their own.

Registration needs to include the name/number of those attending and associated class year. Full payment is required regardless of how many events you attend and may be sent in or brought the day of the event.
This is sure to be a great weekend to catch up with old friends, check out old haunts and share some great memories of younger days.
