Paige Andrews one of 10 Kaiser Foundation scholarship recipients

GUERNSEY – Senior Paige Andrews has accomplished many things in high school including being an award-winning artist, a talented athlete and an accomplished student.

Most recently she has been awarded a $4,000 Kaiser Foundation scholarship.

The Kaiser Foundation announced April 27 that it had awarded 10 scholarships of $4,000 each to outstanding graduating seniors who are attending Wyoming high schools. According to the Kaiser Foundation, “these scholarships may be renewed for an additional three years for those students who continue to meet academic standards.”

The recipients were selected on the basis of merit with special consideration given to their academic, extracurricular and community service achievements.

“To date, the Foundation has awarded over $2.4m in scholarships to students representing high schools throughout Wyoming,” Steve Pomajzi, Foundation publicist said. “The Kaiser Foundation was established in 1986 by Curt Kaiser, founder of Kaiser and Company. Curt Kaiser said, ‘By supporting Wyoming’s best and brightest students, the Kaiser Foundation recognizes that our youth will determine the future of our state and nation.’ The Foundation was created to promote higher educational standards by providing educational opportunities for exemplary students. For 37 consecutive years, the Kaiser Foundation has awarded scholarships to deserving Wyoming high school graduates.
