LINGLE – The Guernsey Vikings boys basketball team took on the number one team in 1A, Lingle on Friday night. The Doggers are exceptional, and it was a tough loss 77-4 for GSHS.
Then on Saturday the Vikings had to try to bounce back and faced off against Hanna-Elk Mountain. Unfortunately, they lost by a score of 54-27.
Coach Steve Zimmerman commented on the two games they played this week, “We suffered two devastating losses. Our old nemesis of turnovers and poor shooting showed up again. We had two good games the week before and thought we were turning the corner, but we took a couple steps backward. We will work this week on regaining our momentum.”
Mason Collar had 11 rebounds, five steals, and 12 pts. Against Hanna-Elk Mountain, Tim Radcliffe chipped in eight rebounds.
