Dolores “Dee” Neifert, 90, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Davis Hospice in Cheyenne, surrounded by her family.
Dolores Neifert was born on Friday, November 17, 1933 the daughter of Feliz and Librada M. (Morales) Gonzales in Wheatland.
Dolores was the youngest of nine sisters. She loved cooking, camping, dancing, and her light shined brightest when she was surrounded by her loving family at a family get together.
She worked at Platte County Memorial Hospital most of her life and was regarded as a hard worker with a positive, uplifting spirit.
She had a heart so big that she surely left an impression on every soul who met her, with her giving nature, her grace for others, and her ability to laugh, even during tough times. Everyone was always welcome at Dee’s table and you would never leave hungry.
She will be greatly missed, as a mother, aunt, mentor, and friend, but never forgotten and always close to our hearts.
Dee was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger “Corky” Neifert; eldest son, Roger Neifert Jr.; and eight sisters.
She is survived by her two sons, Rondald D. Neifert and Anthony Scott Neifert; as well as her beautiful extended family of nieces, nephews, their spouses, and children.
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
