GUERNSEY—Some very special activities are planned for the weekend of July 26-28 in the communities of Hartville and Sunrise. The public is invited to attend any or all of the events planned to celebrate the special histories of the two communities and the Sunrise Mine.
The weekend kicks off Friday afternoon with registration between noon and 6 p.m. at the historic Hartville Schoolhouse/Community Center & Museum at Highway 270 and Gambell St.
Self-guided tours of the Hartville Town Hall (former United Steelworkers Union Hall) open to all. A 4 p.m. Meet and Greet will be held at the Miners and Stockmen’s Steakhouse on the east end of Hartville’s Main Street.
Sign-in for Saturday will be held 8 to 10 a.m. will be held at the Schoolhouse/Community Center. A catered lunch by the Miners and Stockmen’s Steakhouse will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
