Daniel Lee Schleer, age 73, of Guernsey passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, at the Platte Co. Memorial Hospital after a short battle with cancer.
Dan was born July 21, 1950, in Denver, Colorado. He attended North High School where he excelled in football and baseball receiving multiple scholarships. He enjoyed racing late model cars at Lakeside Speedway, Colorado National Speedway, and Englewood Speedway. He relished time with his friends and family camping and boating at Guernsey Lake.
Dan was preceded in death by his mother Joann Roussin and father Lou Schleer. He is survived by his sons Danny Schleer Jr. (wife Kristina) and Paul Schleer (wife Kate), granddaughters Tori and Alei Schleer, his brother Tim Schleer (wife Carol), sister Jackie Anderson (husband Dan), his significant other Lindi Otero, his nephew Adam Schleer and nieces Shelby Gordy and Morgan Robinson, as well as his great niece and nephews.
