MIDWEST – The Guernsey Boys Basketball team traveled to Midwest on Saturday and fell short 41-17.
After the tough game, coach Steve Zimmerman stated, “Our defense was markedly improved compared to the before Christmas games. I was pleased to see our shifts and intensity at a high level. We rebounded better with Mason Collar snagging 17 defensive boards. Offensively we did reduce our overall turnovers which is a step in the right direction.”
Zimmerman said overall, the team struggled to make baskets.
The Vikings lost the game, 41-17. They put up zero baskets in the first quarter vs Midwest’s 6, five vs. 13 in the second, 10 vs. 11 in the third, and two vs. 11 in the fourth.
The Vikings are 2-5 for the season Their next match ups are scheduled at home against Hanna-Elk Mountain on Friday, and Hulett on Saturday.
