GUERNSEY--Wyoming Child and Family Development, Inc. announced last week that Lauren Nordeen, the organization’s Executive Director, closed out her career June 30, 2019.
Danielle Wondercheck is now serving as Executive Director and Marian Moats has been appointed Head Start/Early Head Start Director of the organization upon Ms. Nordeen’s retirement.

Lauren began her years at Wyoming Child & Family Development, Inc. in August of 1990. She was employed in many roles throughout the company that have touched and shaped the lives of thousands of Wyoming children and families. During her tenure as Executive Director, Lauren worked to develop and implement organizational strategic planning and built a statewide network of partners through community engagement. She played a critical role in helping the organization adapt to significant state, federal and local changes and promote a positive presence in the eight-county service area. In the process, she was always a champion for the children and families who benefit from the services provided by Wyoming Child & Family. Lauren’s passion, commitment and devotion were nothing short of exemplary and her excellence in leadership will be deeply missed. The organization celebrates her long-time service and well-earned retirement. Wyoming Child & Family wishes Lauren the best of success for everything that lies ahead.
As Wyoming Child & Family Development looks to the future, they are happy to welcome Ms. Danielle Wondercheck as the incoming Executive Director and Marian Moats as the incoming Head Start/Early Head Start Director. Ms. Wondercheck brings over 20 years of experience, knowledge and passion working with non-profit agencies, specifically agencies advocating for young children and families. Ms. Moats also brings a wealth of knowledge and 27 years of experience in working with early childhood learning and leadership. Both are committed to excellence and excited to carry-on in the tradition of making a difference in the lives of children and families in the communities Wyoming Child & Family Development serves.
Please join us in welcoming Danielle and Marian into this exciting new chapter in Wyoming Child & Family Development’s history. With the arrival of our new Executive Director, Head Start/Early Head Start Director and other new faces of our staff, we would just like to remind our WCFD friends and family that our mission and core values will always remain the same. We make a positive difference for young children, families, and communities through partnerships and early childhood development services.
