WHEATLAND – Glenda Ruth Baker, 76, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.
Glenda Baker was born in Gardena, California on Thursday, April 11, 1946, the daughter of Glen and Helen (Brassington) Stokes.
Glenda was reared and educated in Gardena where she graduated high school. After high school she worked various jobs around California. She moved to Denver, Colorado in 1975 and worked as a secretary. She married Cris Baker in 1986 and together they moved to Guernsey.
Some of her hobbies were bowling, sewing, and most of caring for her family.
She is survived by her mother, Helen Hill of Guernsey; sons, Timothy (Dawn) Seymour of Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Donald Seymour of Guernsey; one grandson, Dominic Seymour-Hernandez; and sister, Susan Littlefield of Meridian, Idaho.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Stephen “Cris” Baker on Jan. 15, 2021.
