Local voters will have the opportunity to find out what this year’s candidates have to say and get specific questions answered in a Meet the Candidates forum on Thursday, August 12 at 7 p.m. at the Guernsey Senior Center.

Candidates listed on the primary ballot for all city, county and state positions have been invited to attend.

The forum is sponsored by the Platte County Chamber of Commerce and the American Association of University Women.

Organizers are encouraging those who attend to come prepared with questions for the candidates.

A Meet the Candidates Forum for Wheatland will be held Tuesday, August 10th, also sponsored by the Chamber and AAUW. For further information on that forum, please call the Platte County Chamber office.

The primary election will be held Tuesday, August 17. The general election will be held Tuesday, November 2.

Voters in the Guernsey area are reminded that the polling venue has been changed as the National Guard Armory is not available. All voters in the Guernsey/Hartville area will vote at First State Bank in Guernsey.
