‘Team ball’ nets Vikes win over Midwest Oilers

GUERNSEY--It appears that one of the few things able to stop the Viking boys’ basketball team this year is the weather. And that was exactly the case last Friday as a combination of wind and now forced the postponement of the home game scheduled with the Pine Bluffs Hornets.

That game has been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 12. There will be no junior varsity games. The girls’ varsity will play at 4 p.m. and the boys’ varsity game will follow at 5:30 p.m.

With better roads on Saturday, the Midwest Oilers did make it to Guernsey, but went home disappointed as the Vikes put three player in double figures to take a 62-37 win.
