From the Wizard of Oz to Superheroes, just about any famous character could be found during last Wednesday’s Treat Street Trick or Treating event.
Even Elvis was on hand as Garrett Cowan, son of Jason and Jamie Cowan, toured the streets with his parents and friends, trading his guitar for a blue pumpkin as he collected hundreds of Halloween goodies.
Now in its fifth year, Treat Street has been a big hit with local families and merhants. Somewhere around 125-150 trick-or-treaters and many of their parents made their way up and down Whalen and Wyoming Streets for the 90-minute event.
Treat Street has been well-received in the community and most involved say they like having the children out in the daytime when costumes can be easily seen and appreciated. It’s also a great opportunity for parents and kids to spend time together.
