DENVER--A celebration of life for Ginger Danielle Stewart, 30, will be held Saturday, August 17th at 2 p.m., at Guernsey‘s West Park on River Road. A barbecue will follow at Guernsey State Park.
Ginger passed away on August 6th, 2013, in Denver, Colorado, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones.
Ginger was born in Salt Lake City to James Stewart and Lynne (Martin) Mesenbrink on February 14, 1983. Ginger began her education in Torrington, WY, finishing in Kemmerer, Wyoming where she graduated in 2001 with a scholarship to the University of Wyoming.
While in high school, Ginger was an accomplished swimmer and excelled in academics. It was in college that she met the love of her life, Kris Howland. Together they made their life in Denver where Ginger worked for Schultz Industries.
Ginger loved the water, camping, concerts at Red Rocks, and spending time at home with Kris and their precious pets Marley, Janice, and Prudence. Ginger and Kris had a special bond with music, and followed the Phish band faithfully. Ginger never let her illness stop her from living her life the way she wanted. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She was loyal and brave, wanting to make the world a better place for everyone right up to the last day. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.
Ginger is survived by her life partner, Kris Howland, of Denver, CO; her best friend and brother Jimmy Stewart (Wife Rachel, beloved nephew, Jamey Stewart,) of Riverside, CA; her father, Jim Stewart (Wife Sylvia with step brothers - Keith and Jason Baptista, (Wife Amy); of Cheyenne, WY; mother Lynne (Martin) Mesenbrink (Husband Dave) of Casper, WY; maternal grandparents, Albert and Dori Martin of Hartville,WY; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents George and Roberta Stewart; and her uncle Wade Martin.
