HAMILTON--Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hamilton, MT, for Dolores Golden, 91, of Hamilton.
Dolores passed away Friday, November 3, 2012 with her family at her side. She was born August 4, 1921 in San Luis, CO. to Vincent and Lucia Vigil.
In his early years, Dolores attended Sisters of Mercy School in San Luis, CO with her five sisters. After graduating she took nurses training in Colorado Springs and Denver. While working as a nurse she met and married Jack Golden on July 21, 1954.
Jack and Dolores lived in Hawaii two years and then moved to Bozeman so that Jack could attend college. After Jack received his masters degree they moved to Guernsey, WY and lived there for 25 years. In later years they retired to Hamilton.
Dolores enjoyed family and spending time with her husband Jack. Dolores taught CCD at St. Anthony’s Parish in Guernsey for 15 years. She was active in Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and AARP.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents and five sisters.
She is survived by six children, Patrick (Eloise) Golden of Fresno, CA; James Golden of Reno, NV, Michael Golden of Hamilton, Paul (Omjai) Golden of Albuquerque, NM, Anita (Mark) Mora, of Hamilton, and Luci (Dan) Golden-Moxley of Hamilton; and 11 grandchildren.
Private family interment will take place at San Luis, CO. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
