The University of Wyoming Anthropology Departmentís Paleoindian Research Lab in conjunction with the Wyoming Archaeological Foundation (WAF) is conducting excavations at the Hell Gap archaeological site, northeast of Guernsey, Wyoming. Excavations are supported in part by a grant from the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund, a program of the Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources and the University of Wyoming Presidentís Office. The public is welcome to invited to tour the site during excavations
The public is invited to tour the site and excavations any time between 8:30 and 11:30am and 1:30 and 4:30pm July 6 to July 7, July 13 to July 21, and July 27 to August 4. Hell Gap is located about 15 miles northeast of Guernsey along Whalen Canyon Road in Goshen County.
