The Guernsey Outreach Center is offering a Geo-caching class on Friday, July 19, 2013 and Sat., July 20, 2013. Geo-caching is a real world outdoor treasure hunt. Geo-caching is very popular in Wyoming and throughout the nation. Many “caches” are hidden in the Guernsey area. This is great hobby for those who love exploring the outdoors.
The Friday night class will be from 5-7 p.m. at Guernsey-Sunrise High School and will be an introduction on using a GPS and Geo-caching. Please bring your iPhone, GPS or other device equipped with a GPS. Instructor Ginny Harris will lead the class on a field trip on Saturday, July 20, beginning at 9 a.m. to find caches hidden in the Guernsey area. This class is open to novice or experienced Geo-cachers, both adults and younger.
We are asking that students under the age of 12 be accompanied by an adult. Please call Gail at 836-2736 or 307-331-0368 for information on registering.
The Hunter’s Safety class being offered in Guernsey July 22-24, 2013 is fully enrolled, but there is a waiting list. Please visit http://gf.state.wy.us/HunterEdRegistration/frmCourseList.aspx to be placed on the waiting list or call Gail at 836-2736 for more information.
