Riders carry holiday mail from 50 states, 8 countries

Riders from the Southeast Pony Express come down the cut from the Tank Farm Road to Register Cliff during the annual Christmas Card Ride Saturday. Ten members of the group carried 2,714 pieces of holiday mail over the original route between Fort Laramie and Guernsey.

GUERNSEY--Over 2,700 pieces of holiday mail were carried Saturday in this year’s Pony Express Christmas Card Ride. Ten members of the Southeast Wyoming Pony Express carried braved some chilly temperatures to make the special delivery over the original Pony Express trail between Fort Laramie and Guernsey.
