Don’t miss out on Duck Daze!

GUERNSEY--With less than a month to go, plans are in high gear for this year’s Duck Daze activities.

The fun begins Saturday morning, August 11 with the annual 5K Duck Dash sponsored by Tri-City Parks and Recreation. If you’d like to participate, please register through Parks and Rec with Geraldine Delgado-messages may be left at 836-2736 if no one is there to personally take your call.

The highlight of the day, the Bridge to Bridge Duck Race will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the West River Bridge. One thousand plastic ducks will hit the water and the first three to pass under the South River Bridge will earn their owners prizes of $750, $500 and $250.

Tickets are available from any member of the Economic Development and Tourism Group or may also be purchased at Oregon Trail Bank, First State Bank, Howshar’s Hardware or Register Cliff Pharmacy.

“Quack Packs” are the best buy which include five duck race numbers, discount coupons from local merchants and special commemorative duck marked specially for 2012. Single tickets are also available.
